5-6 Day Work Week. 6:45am to Close (Times Vary). Install Cable T.V. and high speed data and/or digital services including VOIP, for customers within a determined area. Install and/or repair coaxial cable lines inside and outside of customer’s homes pursuant to cable system standards. Measure, record and determine cable signal strength and general drop and grounding conditions or installations and trouble shoot problems where necessary. Other duties as needed.

A. POSITION SUMMARY:
Position is responsible for the safe and quality installation of cable services for customers. Position also educates customers on the use of new services.
B. MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Install Cable T.V. and high speed data and/or digital services including VOIP, for customers within a determined area. Install and/or repair coaxial cable lines inside and outside of customer’s homes pursuant to cable system standards. (50%)
2. Measure, record and determine cable signal strength and general drop and grounding conditions or installations and trouble shoot problems where necessary. (15%)
3. Maintain, secure and account for equipment inventories, including modems, converters, drop equipment, and other equipment issues by company or cable system. (15%)
4. Prepare regular, accurate, legible, and timely cable system installation, service, and production, mileage, and timesheet paperwork for supervisors. (10%)
5. Assist supervisor with day to day operations. (5%)
6. Perform other duties as assigned. (5%)

D. MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1-2 years cable installation experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Drivers License with driving record that meets Safety Standards of Company
Additional Skills/Knowledge:
• Ability to follow prescribed company and cable system polices, procedures, and protocols for installation, service, equipment maintenance and office communications.
• Ability to communicate with customers in describing the cable TV service and proper operation of installed devises.
• Ability to present a neat, clean, and professional image that reflects well on Company and clients.
• Must be able to read map.
• Must possess basic math skills.
E. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
o Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
o Position also requires work on ladders and multistory buildings.
o Work is performed inside and outside and underground, including attics and crawlspaces with exposure to heat, cold, dampness, noise, and dust.
o Work is also performed on occasion in confined spaces.
o Position may occasionally require travel.
