Auto CAD Drafter – Telecommunications OSP ROW Permitting and Design

Source Broadband Services is currently looking for experienced and motivated individuals for our expanding operations in California. • Auto CAD Drafter

The AutoCAD Drafter will be analyzing utility maps, USA markings and 3rd party provided documentation to draft permit applications. Information will also be supplied via site visits by company survey technicians. Occasional job site visits will be required by the Drafter to review the location.

Qualifications:

• Experience with right of way researching / permitting for underground utility construction IE: Telecommunications
• Experience with OSP telecommunications design and permitting of conduit paths
• Knowledge of Fiber optic and broadband (CATV and Telco) design is desired.
• 5 verifiable years of experience with using AutoCAD to draft permits to specific municipality specifications
• Ability to visit job-sites and gather information required to draft permit applications.
• Must be able to maintain Excel spreadsheets to track the progress of all permits from drafting to final acceptance by municipality
• Experience with traffic control permits preferred. Must be willing and able to learn traffic control permit drafting within 6 months of start date.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat a plus
• Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point )
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include a drug screen and background check – We are a Drug Free Workplace.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States – We participate in E Verify
