VCI has successfully completed contracts for many of the largest communication companies in California, Arizona, Hawaii, and Nevada. Its customers include telephone and cable companies, data transmission fiber systems and wireless cellular system owners, municipalities, and real estate developers. VCI is an underground and aerial contractor that specializes in full service installation of “dry” and “wet” utilities. The former includes design, installation and maintenance of voice, video, and data transmission systems. The latter includes installation of water, sewer, and storm drain systems.

Our Upland division is seeking a highly experienced Coax Installerr with a valid drivers license.



Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (include but are not limited to)

Must have a valid driver's license and transportation
2-3 years of experience of Cable TV Preferred
Travel to and from job sites
Experience placing aerial & underground coax and fiber optic cables
Reads and works from prints knowledge of EMT placement
Knowledge of routing cables through buildings
Fabricates, installs, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.
Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems.
May provide operation/maintenance instruction to customer personnel.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
Must understand the hazards and precautions in the trade.
Positive attitude, hard work ethic, and a priority for safety.


Essential Physical Requirements (include but are not limited to)

Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions
Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry objects of all shapes and sizes, weighing 50 to 100 pounds
Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
Must be able to operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work
Must be able to work in small/confined areas
Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear
Coordinate movement of eyes, hands, fingers, and feet.
The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision.
Grasp and manipulate various hand tools.
Climbs up and down a ladder; subject to heights in bucket truck.
All work is performed at remote locations; driving and sitting are required.
Working in confined spaces.
