Job Description

Communications company is in search of an industry professional to oversee data systems at multiple locations operated in the United States.

For over 20 years we've been providing satellite and internet service to customers in the USA. Compensation for this position will be based upon knowledge and experience related to the professional role being performed.

Ideal applicant will have at least 5 years relevant experience and/or accredited education in data management and network security.

Some of the day to day functions are below but will not be limited to these functions alone.

Responsible for administration, support and monitoring of broadband systems deployed via head end systems.

Responsible for optimization of data systems through review and analysis of individual consumption as well as devise management.

Monitor and observe network capacity limits, load, and functionality required to support the internal and external network.

Responsible for conducting system performance audits to ensure the stability and efficiency of service to end users.

Monitor and implement security measures to maintain integrity of systems from both internal and external threats.

Oversee and advise company executives on stability, lifespan and efficiency of installed internet equipment including but not limited to: Routers, switches, modems, CMTS,bandwidth allocation devises.

Implement educational programs for customer support staff to help troubleshoot and assist to resolve various end user issues.

Responsible for implementation of a 24 hour a day 7 days per week network monitoring and support system.

Identify, monitor and address service impacting issues.

Help to implement policy that will resolve escalated customer issues quickly and in a manner that satisfies the customer; educate employees associated with the issue to resolve such issues without further escalation.

Acquire and manage IP addresses for customers used in their home networks as needed.

Advise and oversee procedures related to data pricing and provisioning of modems for various pricing packages.

Source data providers so the company is receiving the most competitive pricing and terms available when negotiating new agreements for data.

Oversee data contract expiration and implementation of upgrades and/or changes in provisioning.
