Truck and tools a plus. Fusion machine Live fiber Identifier a plus. Both piece and hourly rates determined Case by Case and TBD on skill set.
Qualifications
4 years minimum OSP ISP fiber splicing field experience Single and Mass. Includes OTDR and Power insertion loss testing. ADSS OPGW cable experience a plus. Computer skills mandatory. Knowledge of various software to read project files mandatory. Daily travel/ Long hours/ all shifts. Working in live fiber environments. Dark Fiber provider or similar environment familiarity.
Other Requirements
Truck and tools preferred but not mandatory with experience. Compensation based on experience and equipment if any. Willing to outfit possible & depends on abilities. Ability to travel to and through-out California. Dark Fiber provider or similar environment familiarity. References required
Job Description
Splicing and testing fiber in ISP and OSP environments.
Splice case/Termination Cosmetics and efficiency required
UG and Aerial locations. 70/30 UG to Aerial
Good customer skills and well groomed.
Hi-density fiber environments common.
Drive a splicing truck and equipment from site to site.
Prepping FO cables both live and dark. ISP/OSP 75/25 live/dark
Traffic control if applicable.
Occasionally entering Bell style man holes. "You will get dirty sometimes"
No drugs or alcohol. No excuses. Good driving record mandatory.
We will perform a Background check.
Requests for time off require 4 weeks notice and approval depending on circumstances.
