Qualifications
Attic Rat is seeking contractors who can work in various attics & crawl spaces. Contractor Requirements: • An insured truck, SUV or van which is capable of carrying a 6’ & 8’ ladder • A current vehicle registration, proof of insurance, valid drivers’ license and social security card. • A background check that includes criminal and motor vehicle reports.
Other Requirements
Any A/V, Network, CCTV experience is a plus
Job Description
Attic Rat, Inc., is a service-oriented business that facilitates the installation of residential and commercial low voltage cabling in Pinellas & Pasco counties, along with many forms of technology that operate on such cabling. Attic Rat is seeking skilled contractors to perform various types of installations including, but not limited to, cable TV jacks, LAN jacks, telephone jacks, CCTV cameras and cabling, speaker cabling & mounting flat panel TVs. Attic Rat is seeking contractors who can work in various attics, & crawl spaces.
Like any business owner, as a contractor you will need your own equipment to perform the installations, such as a clean truck with a ladder rack, cordless drill, 8’ extension ladder, 6’ ladder, tool belt and hand tools. You will also need a commercial liability insurance and workman’s comp or a waiver thereof. Attic Rat does stock certain specialty tools not easily acquired and offers them at discounted costs.
There is a tremendous amount of flexibility and control as an independent contractor. All of our current contractors average $1000/wk gross or more in a five day week. However, you can choose to work part time if you prefer. Contractors are paid for the work they complete at the rate of 60% of the labor invoiced and paid.
