Qualifications

He/she will have a solid work history of success with little damages on the plow. The operator and crew members will be responsible for daily maintenance checks (grease, lube etc.) on the machines. Must be Rural Utilities Service (RUS) qualified All applicants must have clean driving record. A CDL license would be beneficial. A background check and drug screen will be conducted as part of our employment on-boarding process.

Position Summary:

Seeking experienced backhoe, cable/drop plow operators and crew to work on a fiber optic project outside Sioux City Iowa. Candidates must have experience working around underground utilities and installing conduit and/or cables on either conduit or direct bury projects.



Essential Job Functions:

Experience operating project equipment such as; backhoe, mini excavator, trencher, plow, tamper
Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift over 50 lbs.
Must have ability to spot (expose) and identify utilities after they have been located
Understand various soil and ground conditions for plowing/trenching
Read communications prints for placing conduit or cables underground.
Understand the proper procedures for preparing load and unload signs, cones and barricades if necessary.
Must be able to use backhoe, rake and mini to perform clean up and restoration when necessary
Must be able to travel and work non-traditional hours (weekends)
Selected candidates will perform the duties as directed by the project manager or foreman.
