Supervisor/Trainer, (ISP/OSP/Copper/POTS/DSL)

ADCOMM Installations Inc., an affiliate of ACOMM Inc., is currently seeking a self-motivated, Supervisor/Trainer with ISP/OSP/Copper/POTS/DSL experience.

Job Summary:

The Supervisor/Trainer will be responsible for performing training service for new Adcomm Installations’ technicians. This positions may require travel throughout the United States based on growth potential of the organization. Individuals in this position will also supervise the day-to-day operations and job completion of assigned projects while providing communication to the Project Manager and crew members. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Training:

Train new technicians to troubleshoot lines from the Customers NID to the Central Office and working inside the Central Office in remote locations.
Maintains Subject Matter Expertise for the program being handled by knowing up-to-date products and services, policies, processes and procedures
Facilitates OJT to transfer program product knowledge, installation of product in customer homes, present ISP/OSP/Copper/POTS and DSL process and procedures.
Provides feedback to the Manager to identify gaps in training and other areas of opportunity.
Teaches technicians to install and maintain basic telecommunication services
Trains technicians on installing pedestals, protectors and groundings.
Educates technicians to locate telecommunication cable.
Instruct technicians to splice and repair new and existing telecommunication cable.
Communicate troubleshoots from the pedestal to the customer television set, including changing out tap plates and cutting in taps where necessary for a new installation.
Troubleshoot malfunctioning telecommunication cables using testing devices such as meters and analyzers, to locate and the diagnose nature of the problem.
Provide required general safety training and communicates training to the Project Managers.
Other duties as required.

Supervisor:

Supervising and lead technicians as determined by management.
Developing and promoting a team atmosphere and ensuring the proper support is provided to each technician within the operation.
Maintain direct contact with the management and the customer. It is important that these relationships are maintained and developed.
Manage workloads and routing to ensure proper efficiencies based on local market guidelines.
Reduce downtime and can meet or exceed production goals.
Managing day-to-day operations for a assigned team.
Communicating with other members of local support staff, resolving issues and ensuring no technician is left out later than necessary.
Managing and investigating customer complaints and damages. This includes:
Contacting the customer, responding to manager emails, completing necessary investigation paperwork, resolving issue and if necessary working with general contractor on repairs.
All paperwork on complaints and damages must be maintained and organized.
Enforce company safety practices by completing random safety site inspections.
Any failed inspections must be reported to management.
Immediate training and corrective disciplinary action will need to be taken with the technician.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED certificate preferred.
Previous utility construction crew leadership experience is required. (Private Property and Easement)
Experience working with telecommunication MSA contracts is strongly preferred.
This position also requires good computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Out of town travel may be required as well as on-call availability.
The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license with good driving record. A Class A CDL license is plus!

Physical Requirements:

Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily
Walking - 6 to 8 hours daily
Bending/Stooping - 6 to 8 hours daily
Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping) – 6 to 8 hours daily
Lifting (weights up to 100 lbs.) - Occasionally
Lift and Carry (50/60 lbs. for 20 feet) - Regularly
Push / Pull – 6 to 8 hours daily
