Job Description

Position Overview

The Home Installation Area Manager is responsible for the overall management of the CATV, Telephone and Internet installation (Field) offices. The position also coordinates with all functional departments (both corporate and field) regarding the optimization of the overall business operation. This position will manage the relationship with our MSO Client for the Field Offices. Some of the core responsibilities include managing the installation managers, traveling to new locations to open and set up offices, recruiting management positions, assisting the installation manager in recruiting a sufficient workforce to continually grow each local market share, payroll management, and maintaining metrics for each installation office. The Home Installation Area Manager is expected to uphold the company’s principles including integrity, quality, teamwork and customer experience at all times.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide guidance and direction to management staff including training, motivating, disciplinary action, development, goal formulation and performance review on a continuous basis.
• Interviews and hires personnel.
• Develop appropriate work productivity, quality and cost standards for all field service technicians and office personnel, and report on the achievement of these standards.
• Develop and promote a team atmosphere and ensure the proper support is provided to each technician and all office personnel within the operation.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with the local MSO, our client company.
• Manage and investigate customer complaints and damages. This includes contacting the customer, responding to MSO emails, completing necessary investigation paperwork, resolving issues and if necessary working with general contractor on repairs. All paperwork on complaints and damages must be maintained and organized.
• Ensure that Advantage Cable Services, Inc. is in compliance with all field related performance metrics. These metrics include Service Rate, Quality Assurance Whole House Check, On Time Guarantees and any other market specific metrics.
• Enforce company safety practices by ensuring the installation manager completes random safety site inspections and reporting failed inspections to the Human Resource Manager.
• Learn all phases of office operations, which include, but are not limited to: daily data entry, customer service, generating and preparing required reports as scheduled, answering the telephone, dispatching Field Technicians, and maintaining records.
• Maintain P & L accountability.
• Develop and deliver daily, weekly and monthly analysis for Installation offices and performance metrics to the Client upon request.
• Develop a training process for all new hires requiring the passage of the SCTE BPI.
• This position includes travel throughout the U.S. and travel can be extensive when opening a new office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to appropriately and safely handle confidential business information, private information, and the Client company’s equipment and materials.
• Ability to use computer operating systems, and a myriad of consumer communications devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, converters, and wireless devices), and computer software applications.


Education/Experience
