Job Description
Starband Systems LLC is currently looking for individuals in the Eastern South Carolina Market to fulfill the position of a Business Class Cable Installer. This position requires high attention to detail with a vast knowledge of today’s most current Phone and Internet Business Systems. Any person(s) applying should be self-starters and well organized with a “CAN DO” attitude. We pride ourselves with an “Above and beyond” approach and expect nothing less from all new applicants.
At Starband Systems we provide Cable: TV, Internet, Phone and Hospitality Solutions to Time Warner Cable in Myrtle Beach and Surrounding areas. Most qualified applicants should have a background in Cable TV, including the installation of RF services from the Node to the customer premise. A short list of
industry requirements is listed below:
• Be able to complete work to standards under minimal supervision
• Equipment and Inventory management
• Clean Driving Record
• Clean 7 year background
• Verifiable References
• Own Hand Tools (Specialty, ladders, Cable Tools)
• Excellent customer satisfaction
• Ability to explain services rendered to both high and low knowledge customers
• Climbing telephone poles and scaling heights when safe up to 28’
• Ability to work in tight or confined spaces
• Ability to lift 85 pounds
Technical Skills Required:
• Low voltage, Telephone and Cable TV installation Standards
• Understanding of Networks
• Understanding of Wireless Networks
• IP Addressing LAN/WAN
• Static/Dynamic Internet Service Provider Addressing
• DOCSIS VOIP support/provisioning
• Termination/verification of (min) 12 number switch overs
• Termination of coaxial connections
• Ethernet terminations standards
• 66 blocks
• 110 blocks/Patch Panels
• Phone System Demarcation Points
