Technical Operations Supervisor

Job Summary
Ensure high quality customer satisfaction, system profitability and efficient system operation. Maintain and enhance the technical capability of the plant and equipment. Supervise all technical personnel.

Job Requirements
• Direct the daily activities of the technical operation of the system plant and the technical staff.
• Bring to resolution cable system technical problems, including troubleshooting, headend repairs and system maintenance.
• Perform field technical work to resolve system problems and to maintain the system plant to ensure the highest quality of product delivery and customer service.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with all FCC requirements (Proof of Performance Testing, Cumulative Leakage Index ride-out).
• Follow company guidelines for efficient and cost effective performance within approved operating and capital expenditure budgets.
• Comply with and administer all company policies, procedures and processes.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to secure a safe work environment; conduct regularly scheduled safety meetings.
• Maintain a relationship with franchising authorities to enhance public relations within the communities.
• Supervise all technical employees: Administration of Equal Employee Opportunity, hiring practices, termination practices, training, and performance and merit reviews to facilitate the highest possible level of professionalism.
• Respond to system outages, perform preventive maintenance and sweep the system.
• Compile, maintain and submit reports as needed.
• Travel to cable systems as needed.
• Must be able to lift and carry loads up to a minimum of 70 lbs, climb ladders, climb poles
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills
• Ability to organize, plan, motivate others and manage system overall performance.
• Strong technical knowledge of cable system operations and technology changes.
• Knowledge of Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Cable Act standards and specifications.
• Proficient Computer Skills: Word, Excel

Experience
Minimum of 5 years supervising front line employees in a cable system, or related field, with a focus on metric improvement, employee development, and providing quality customer service.
