AMI is looking for Cable Installation Technicians in Detroit and surrounding areas. These cable installation technicians are responsible for multiple customer visits each day, which includes completing cable tap audits, servicing cable drops, installing cable equipment, ensuring a quality broadband Internet connection and educating customers on their cable TV service.

We are looking for technicians that live in Wayne County MI and surrounding counties such as Oakland and Macomb.

Primary responsibilities:
Inventory--maintain accurate inventory and equipment for installations, service calls and line maintenance
Tap Audits -- determine the current status of each address and cable drop
Equipment installation-- Installation of receivers and modems while ensuring broadband connectivity
Customer education--review order with customers and teach them the basics to use and enjoy their new service equipment

Experience and requirements:
Prior Cable or Satellite experience is a plus
Basic computer skills
Basic electronics and/or audio/video knowledge is helpful
Strong customer service skills: friendly, approachable, motivated, strong work ethic, high degree of integrity
Ability to crawl into small spaces and work in all climates.
Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays and evenings
Willingness to work overtime 50 plus hours per week
Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to meet criteria of a background (No felonies or High/Violent Misdemeanors), Drug Screen, and have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
