• A minimum of three to five years’ head-end experience required. • Must have knowledge of electronics, broadband engineering, and fiber optic equipment. • SCTE and Cisco Certification preferred. • Experience in NAS-RAC environment preferred. • Working knowledge of AGB’s, VOD systems, Cherry Picker DM 6400’s and Apex 1000’s required. • Must be available to accommodate the needs of the company and customers for 24-hour coverage, by working various scheduled shifts, responding to call outs,

• Must be available to accommodate the needs of the company and customers for 24-hour coverage, by working various scheduled shifts, responding to call outs, bi-weekly on-call standby, and rapidly fixing outages whenever they occur. • Experience in conversions from analog to all-digital conversions, and digital simulcast video delivery a plus. A strong customer focus, and excellent communication and team skills are a must. Must also possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel.

Thames Valley Communications, a fast-growing Cable TV and Internet company, located in beautiful SE Connecticut, is looking for an energetic, experienced person to fill the position of Head End Technical Manager.

The Head End Technical Manager ensures delivery of highest quality cable TV video service by maintaining network performance standards and specifications through monitoring, sweeping, balancing, activation and repairing head-end and distribution equipment in a state-of-the-art Cable TV and Internet Head End.

A strong customer focus, and excellent communication and team skills are a must. Must also possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as necessary. Must be within a 30 minute drive to the office in Groton.
