Qualifications
•Good written & verbal communication skills required
•Basic computer skills required; basic electronics &/or audio/video knowledge is helpful
•Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable & motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity
•Physically able to stand for long periods of time on a ladder, lift over 70 lbs at times, crawl into small spaces, work in all climates & remain within the weight requirement of 275 lbs
•Valid driver's license & clean driving record

Education & Experience
•High school diploma (or GED) required; college or technical/vocational school a plus
Other Skills & Qualifications
•Assertive, yet consultative & results oriented with a contagious competitive attitude
•Intermediate computer & data entry skills including use of the web

Job Description
A Satellite TV Technician / Installer completes site surveys, installs satellite equipment and educates our customers on their new satellite equipment and services. In addition, the following describe the job functions associated with a professional installation.
• Completing morning safety huddle with other Technicians / Installers and a Field Service Manager
• Confirming needed supplies, tools and equipment and consult with sales staff on specifications of work orders
• Planning to perform each job safely and efficiently
• Providing top level customer service by communicating to the customer an estimated arrival time prior to arrival at the site
• Reviewing order (new installation, additional services or troubleshooting) with the customer before commencing work order and upselling where possible
• Conducting site survey (determining the best positioning for strongest signal reception), installing satellite TV and receivers and ensuring broadband connectivity
• Verifying that the completed order meets the customer's needs and preferences and providing customer education on equipment
• Cleaning up site, conducting final account review with customer and updating customer accounts on mobility tablets
• Assist sales staff with event display set-up and take-down where needed
Additional Information
Our business is open five days a week, but our installation service might extend beyond normal business hours and possibly into nights and weekends. Schedules tend to remain fixed; however, flexibility is a requirement.
