Qualifications
Must have at least 3 years of make-ready engineering experience and understand aerial construction practices. Will need to know power and communications.
Other Requirements
Must have late model reliable vehicle, current auto insurance, valid driver's license. Will need fiberglass measuring stick, measuring wheel, laser measuring scope is helpful. Must have clean, neat appearance.
Job Description
Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following tasks:
1. Manage your time. Good time management is key to your success.
2. Must be familiar with and understand G.O. 95 and all current aerial construction practices.
3. Must be able to ID all communications cables and measure their HOAs.
4. Must be able to ID all power lines and provide accurate HOAs.
5. Must be able to read power maps (FIM).
6. Must be able to make construction recommendations for proper clearances and call out safety issues.
7. Must have legible hand writing and make sure all work is turned in clean and neat.
8. Will need to understand the basics of wind loading.
9. Some travel will be involved for different projects.
This position will require training for most and field certification for those with proper knowledge and experience.
