Job Description

The individual in this position will work with the other supervisory team to oversee all residential installation field activities. The main focus of the job is to assist the OBU Manager by providing field support and employment guidance to the assigned group of technicians. The Field Supervisor should expect to spend the majority of their time in the field but should also expect to complete administrative tasks as required by the Manager. Although the work schedule does vary, the Field Supervisor may be required to work extensive hours especially during the development of the OBU. The Field Supervisor may have to work up to 6 day work weeks and should be available any day of the week as required by the company.



This position is responsible for the following tasks:



v Assures the competent performance of all staff as reflected in completion rates, quality data, and income growth by conducting performance reviews as a part of the continuing improvement process and also includes making sure disciplinary actions are taken when necessary and that it is done according to guidelines.



v Assures the timely completion and submission of all required reports by tracking them on the company spreadsheets.



v Required to communicate with subordinates and upper management and throughout OBU staff regarding management issues by using formal business English via email, personally or phone to help maintain code and guidelines of the company.



v Maintains periodic and constant contact with the customer’s key stakeholders via email or phone to assure continual relationship improvement and satisfaction of customer expectations.



v Identifies trends within the OBU and works with the other members of the management team to implement plans to avert any degradation of the OBU performance, such as vehicle incidents, property damages, quality issues and customer complaints by participating in the regular Management performance conference calls, summarizing QA and Field Safety data, and responding to any and all questions and/or issues/concerns.



v Determines degree of preventability of accident costs by coaching and counseling employee in regards to safe driving habits and random inspection of the vehicles of assigned technicians to look for opportunities to reduce accident related costs. This also includes participating in accident investigations with fleet management personnel.



v Assures employee compliance with all company employee, safety, and customer rules and policies by performing disciplinary actions up to termination of employees. This includes, but is not limited to, appearance codes and vehicle policies.



v Assists with fleet fuel and maintenance programs to assure proper usage and cost control for his/her OBU by making sure that the fleet is serviced, clean and safe to drive.



v Work to develop technicians through coaching and on-site assistance to improve the quality of work and also run a route occasionally, as a Fulfillment Field Technician, when requested, to support work load, in the event of Installation technician shortage.



v Creates and promotes a team environment by assisting technicians as needed and encouraging fellow technicians to help each other likewise to reflect a participative and interactive management inside and outside the OBU.





Requisite Skills and Knowledge :



· Minimum of 2 years experience working in the Telecommunications Industry

· Minimum of 6 Months of Supervisory Experience

· Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent computer skills are desired – Excel, Word etc.

· Should have excellent planning and organizational skills

o Ability to Multitask and Prioritize.
