Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Basic technical skills
Take a drug screening and have a clean background
Other Requirements
Great customer service skills and work ethic
Ability to carry, climb, and maneuver an 80 pound 28 foot extension ladder
Ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time
Willingness to work in all weather conditions and in a variety of installation spaces (including crawl spaces, attics, etc)
Willingness to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Incentives available for technicians who can provide their own vehicle; must be white van or truck
Job Description
Planning installations by evaluating the location, locating access, and laying out equipment and wiring plans
Installing and/or repairing cable TV and High Speed Data or Digital Services inside and outside of residential and commercial customers.
Performs upgrades, downgrades, pre-wiring and dwelling installations
Install drops, outlets, converters, cable modems, digital terminals and other cable system devices.
Measuring, recording and determining cable signals
Troubleshooting existing services and bringing installations up to quality control standards
Maintaining, securing and accounting for equipment inventories.
Preparing regular, accurate, legible and timely cable system records
Educating customers on the use and functions of their services
Maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety practices
