Job Description
Wiseconnect is looking for a tester in the following areas:
- Atlanta, GA
- Chicago, IL
- Minneapolis, MN
- Detroit, MI
- Dallas, Austin, Houston TX

Role and Responsibilities
1. Must be capable of performing all work operations or job activities without supervision or direction
2. Understands the installation, removal of common equipment, Switches, Transport and Power systems
3. Adheres to on site safety policies and ESD practices around network equipment and circuit packs
4. Understands the customers' requirements and their network configuration
5. Proficiency in the testing of common equipment, Switches, Transport and Power systems
6. Has a thorough understanding of DWDM, SONET, OTN, Ethernet
7. Proficient at system level provisioning testing procedures
8. Proficient at running BER and RFC tests
9. Insures the system is turned up within system specifications
10. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware related issues
11. Lead Tester responsible for all installation and testing activities for the assigned project and crew.
12. Ability to analyze Engineering Design Packages (EDP) and Visio Drawings
13. Provide work assignments to installers/testers
14. Conducts Maintenance window activities, understands and follows a Method of Procedure (MOP)
15. Perform in-process and final quality inspections. (typically referred to as Virtual Audits)
16. Identify and correct site issues
17. Works with the Project Manager to resolve any logistical or technical issues.
18. Provide Daily Status reports
19. Make changes to job specification and/or drawing problems
20. Provide Redline changes to EDPs and Visio drawings
21. Timely submittal of all closing documentation required to the Project management team
22. Update documentation drawer as required for AT&T projects
Requirements
- Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years' experience or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
-Proficient at testing the Ciena product suite (6, 5430, etc..) Specific experience using the JDSU Test sets, Optical Spectrum Analyzer, hand held Optical Power meters, fault detectors and video scopes.
