Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
•High School diploma or GED – required
•Associate Degree in Electronics – preferred
•Five years prior practical work experience in CATV system maintenance – required
•Demonstrate through testing via written and or oral testing the ability to trouble shoot system problems from the HUB to the Home
•The Hub technician is regularly on call and must be able to respond to an outage within 45 minutes.
Other Requirements
•Previous knowledge of software applications Auto CAD LT, Trueview, Microsoft Office, CHR and Personal computer usage.
•Math Skills; 12th grade level
•Ability to read, write, and speak English in clear, concise sentence structure with accurate spelling and grammar
•Careful attention to detail
•Ability to meet scheduled and unscheduled deadlines
•Ability to present self positively to the public
Job Description
Buckeye CableSystem (Sandusky OH-Erie County) is hiring a FT Hub Technician. The Hub Technician’s primary responsibility is to trouble-shoot and maintain hub and node equipment, including fiber optic cable, forward, return, modem, ingress, DCT and HD related equipment. Assisting power node and line technicians along with demand calls and other special assignments as needed.
