Job Description

Summary:
The Field Service Manager (FSM) provides expert leadership, technical guidance, and continuing education in all areas of field operations. The FSM coaches and guides a team of technicians to deliver company expectations in safety, quality, customer satisfaction and cost through high quality installations, service changes, and service calls. Work duties shall be principally performed in the field.


Responsibilities:
The FSM has the authority to make management decisions to achieve operational expectations in the best interests of SSI. It is not possible to list all the situations but some examples include:

Ensure achievement of performance goals for their designated team(s) of technicians
Safety compliance
Compliance with SSI, Dish Network and NEC standards
Customer Satisfaction
Completion rates
Receiver connectivity rates
Protection of company assets
Administration of the Discipline process with oversight by Regional Manager and HR Department
Decisions involving safety
Identify and correct performance distracters (examples, damage claims, and customer escalations)
Resolutions to customer concerns
Monitor and evaluate individual employee job knowledge
Evaluate work performed for compliance with SSI, Dish Network and NEC standard
Resolve technical issues/customer concerns associated with installations, change of service, and service calls
Recommend changes to technical operations, plans, and procedures
Determine the “root cause” of performance issues and develop proactive solutions
Develop a full working knowledge of warehouse processes
Conduct QC’s, field audits, site safety audits, key account audits, and damage claim assessments
Assist customers and teach, coach, and mentor technicians
Other duties and responsibilities as required


Requirements:
Must have valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle
Must have effective communications skills – reading, writing, and speaking
Must have computer operational skills (Microsoft Office)
Must be able to operate a scanner and printer
Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, and meet SSI MVR requirements
Must achieve forklift certification
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be at work fully prepared and on time for the entire duration of every scheduled work day
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 80 pounds, perform overhead activities, and climb ladders
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi -task and work independently
Ability to use mechanical and electrical power tools and handle physically exerting workload
Ability to perform work in a non-climate controlled environment for extended periods of time
Must be available to work 7 days per week, with the schedule to be determined by Management


Experience:
One year, previous warehouse, shipping and receiving experience preferred
