Qualifications
Must have prior coax cable experience.
Other Requirements
1. A Van or Pick-up with a ladder rack, no cars or SUV’s.
2. A 28’ ladder w/hooks, a minimum of 2 safety cones and a safety vest (ladders must be fiberglass)
3. A 6-8’ fiberglass step ladder
4. Cable meter (VeEx or Dsam preferred)
5. Tone & probe kit, PPC crimper's, rg6 & rg11 strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, cordless hammer drill, 3/8 drill bits (wood, masonry 12”-18“) terminator tools,
Job Description
Our company, 855 Our Telecom, Inc., Is looking to hire cable technicians/installers for a large project in residential cable box (analog) conversion to DTA (digital) boxes/adapters in the Charlotte area. Pay is Independent Contractor 1099, per install (rate sheet) with $45.00 per diem (If Qualified) and a percentage bonus for met/exceeded quota. Must have own vehicle, valid driver's license, pass 7 years no Felonies, 3 years no misdemeanors, background ground check, possible urine test. Cabling tools and previous cabling experience are desired as a drop/outlet install may be required at the DTA sites. Training on how to install the DTA equipment will be provided (Up to 1 day, unpaid, short training). Must be willing to drive to our customer’s office daily in Charlotte and travel around Charlotte daily doing the work in your own vehicle. We are looking to fill positions to start immediately. Lots of hours- at least 40 to 60 a week (6 day work week), good technicians will establish themselves with our customer and will have cable TV work for a long time.
