Must have a truck or van capable of supporting a 28’ span ladder. Knowledge of Machine/Equipment/Tools Used:General office machines such as personal computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, calculators, telephones, etc. Knowledge of OSHA required safety equipment specific to this job.
Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensures competence and continuity of qualified Installers through optimum, training, development, performance appraisals, motivation.
* Ensures effectively and efficiently, supervisory support for a competent and conscientious work force.
* Ensures technician's maintain a customer focused orientation and the customers are treated with courtesy and respect at all times.
* Ensures all activities relating to installation and audit operations are performed in accordance with Company policies and FCC, State, local, DOL, and, OSHA standards.
* Holds weekly safety meetings for all field technicians and maintains company safety record keeping standards.
* Provides appropriate training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and associate morale.
* Additional duties as assigned.
This position reports to the Norfolk Manager & District Manager. This position supervises the Installation crew.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be highly self-motivated with a positive attitude. The following is "MANDATORY:" A minimum of 2 - 4 years CATV and/or Satellite installation experience is required, including knowledge of SCTE, FCC, OSHA and NEC regulations. A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience is needed. Pole climbing ability and experience with various meters and hand tools are necessary. Good computer and software skills are needed, including word processing. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and meet timelines with minimal supervision are essential. Must have the ability to work flexible hours as required, including evenings and weekends if needed. A valid Driver's license and a good driving record are necessary. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are necessary to interface effectively with staff, the client's department management and various other internal and external parties. 401K, PDO, Paid Vacation, Health Plan.
Working Conditions:
* No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions
* Evening, weekend, and overtime hours may be required
