Qualifications
Experience:
Previous experience in low voltage communication installation in residential construction; voice data, audio and security.
Familiarity with Honeywell Vista (ADMECO) and GE Concord (ITI) home security systems.
Qualifications:
General understanding of communication terminology and technology, working knowledge of tools and test equipment typically used in the communication construction industry.
Other Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three months or
more related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
CA BSIS ACE License or ability to obtain license (LiveScan Required)
Job Description
Job Summary:
Duties include installation and repair of home security systems within new residential and multi-family construction. Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Installation of home security panels and devices.
Repair and service of installed home security systems.
Provide customer support and service to home security customers
Conduct home security orientations and trainings with customers.
Perform Quality Control functions on production home security installations tone, test, and label cables at security panel.
Termination and testing of security contacts, motions, and other devices.
Termination of voice, data, video cables at distribution location and on jacks in the
residence.
Workskills:
Attention to detail, good communication skills for documenting activities,
interfacing with customers and dealing with builders, able to work independently.
Some computer skills.
