3 Play Contractors, Suddenlink experience a plus!!

Independent Contractor

Arkansas, Louisiana

We service several smaller towns in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississppi.

Starts

We will be adding more and more routes as the spring approaches. There are a few spots available now. The best techs keep working after things slow in the fall.

Pay

The pay is based on piece work but averages roughly $2 a point. A pay chart is available upon request. Example: Aerial drop $12, mta $18, wifi modem $16. The work week usually consists of six days. We do not do disconnects or trouble calls.

Qualifications

Years of experience are not as important as professionalism. If you know how to present yourself to the customer, hang an aerial drop to specs and stay off the stressed modem reports you can make it with us.

Other Requirements

A reliable truck, tools, drivers license and insurance are required of course.

Job Description

Foster Cable Service Inc. has been around for many years. Plant construction/ directional boring is the mainstay of the company, but we have an installation division that services several smaller towns in the MidSouth tri-state area. Most of our work comes from Suddenlink.

The available routes consist of standard triple play installations including whole house dvr host and client boxes. We require that installations are up to specs, with an emphasis on drop replacement and home runs to docsis equipment. Ingress elimination is a must. Guys that hook and book do not make it here very long.

We have a direct line to dispatch and rarely have to wait on hold at all, even on weekends.

Travel between the different systems will likely be required at first, as the number of contractors needed in each town varies throughout the year. Techs that show character and professionalism become part of the core group of guys that work year round in the town of their choice. Some have been here for years.

We all know that independent cable contracting has been under pressure from the IRS and huge companies for years, but we are still doing things as old school as possible. Everyone contracting from FCSI has his own General Liability Insurance policy and is a true independent contractor.

Call or email me for more information. Thanks
