Qualifications
Must have valid license or CDL license, operate bucket truck, other construction equipment and machinery while working aloft, underground and confined spaces. Use of hand held manual equipment. Pole climbing, ability to work as a team member on a crew or as crew foreman. Placing (setting) rearranging and removing poles, lines, open wire. Unreel, pull and string wire and cable from pole to pole. Ability to do basic math and measurements.
Other Requirements
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May be exposed to heights from 25-60 feet. Duties may also include getting up and out of back of truck 3-6 feet in height on a regular basis. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50lbs
Job Description
Placement of poles, and anchors for installation of aerial cable.
Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in using mechanized equipment such as bucket truck, digger derrick, and manual equipment such as shovels and posthole diggers to set poles along right of ways. Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic.
Must complete background check to include criminal, Department of Motor Vehicle and Drug screening. EOE
