Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Experience and knowledge of locate equipment.
Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices, as well as, ability to add, subtract, multiply & do fractions

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.
Safety – Follow all safety guidelines. Is alert and aware of surroundings and working hazards. Wears hardhat, safety vest, safety glass, gloves, approved safety footwear and seatbelt.
Customer Service – Be courteous and polite with customers.
Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management directions; takes responsibility for own actions.
Attendance/Punctuality-at work on time daily.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Duties consist of using mechanized equipment such as backhoe, trucks, plows, trenchers and manual equipment such as shovels, rack, pick axe, posthole diggers. Must be experienced working around live/hot wire. Knowledge of drilling equipment procedures while in the vicinity of existing utilities, ability to work in manhole systems, verifying and proofing existing conduit systems, trenching in the street and landscape areas with manual and mechanized equipment.
Duties may also include getting up and out of back of truck setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and flagging traffic by holding stop and slow signs
