Telecommunications Company seeks a full time CATV Underground Crew Foreman to work in the MA- Taunton, Boston, South Coast, South Shore, Cape Code, Rhode Island, CT Windsor Locks, NH areas, to perform tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of cable television systems.. Prior experience, a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent required and be authorized to work in the U.S. EOE.
Duties Include :
• Ability to read design prints
• Knowledge of utility right of way’s to interpret daily work assignment
• Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers
• Dig and backfill for installation of underground conduits, cables, and splice boxes
• Install telephone and CATV conduit
• Raking, sweeping and clean up of area each day
• Ability to understand and read utility locate markings
• Must have operating knowledge of trenchers, backhoes, compressors, and other equipment.
• Responsible as the leader of a crew
• Responsible to fill out daily production reports
• Other responsibilities as directed by Supervision
Skills
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year
• Willingness to travel
• Valid CDL Drivers License
• Willingness to work both individually and in a team environment
• Ability to lift and/or pull 100 pounds several times each day
• Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting, or walking
