Base plus commission annual targeted earnings of $60,000 plus MBO, Car Allowance, Benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of both successful outside sales and managing direct reports who are based out of multiple remote locations. Experience with sales of telecommunications/CATV products and services preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent business experience. Proven track record of achieving and surpassing sales quotas via managing by metrics, coaching, and performance management. Proven ability to effectively partner and build consensus across functional areas.

Other Requirements

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated track record of setting and achieving specific sales goals. Experience selling into business and residential end users. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Job Description

I. Job Summary:

Responsible for working in conjunction with Regional Director and staff to develop, implement, and measure sales programs and initiatives in a timely manner. Programs are designed to meet/exceed subscriber and revenue projections in a competitive marketplace. Manages all aspects of the cable service center/store environment and field direct sales teams to achieve and exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction. Manages operational and financial controls in a cost-effective manner. Hires, coaches, and evaluates store and field sales personnel based on performance standards.


II. Duties and Responsibilities:

a. Works with Region and Corporate partners to support and ensure sales results in the direct sales channels by means of effectively deploying defined sales programs and identifying best practices and process improvements to share across the Region.

b. Supports identification and use of defined key productivity metrics which measure/define the criteria of success for sales teams. Manages teams and metrics and develops /distributes reports as directed.
c. Ensures Supervisors and Representatives are clear on daily, weekly, and monthly objectives with a full vision of year-end and monthly department goals.

d. Requires that all supervisors and representatives are trained in accordance to the appropriate learning plans including coaching, product training and systems training in coordination with internal/external trainers and others as directed.

e. Hire, supervise and coach a team of Field and Store sales personnel to aggressively sell video, data and voice services to prospective residential customers using door to door sales and in-store sales techniques.

f. Develop and implement regional sales incentives to meet and exceed RGU growth objectives. Manage compensation plan programs and implement changes to improve employee motivation and sales performance while controlling overall cost per sale.

g. Ascertains that all store and field sales personnel are fully knowledgeable on Shentel product offerings, branding messages, and current offers/promotions.

h. Develop, implements and monitors effective processes that provide timely customer service and sales information.

i. Develop and facilitate the use of coordinated, comprehensive, and effective sales collateral and POP display advertising to create a common and strategic customer experience in all Store locations.

j. Take a leadership role participating in community organizations, trade associations, and industry groups.

k. Develop and build relationships with commercial property owners and developers that will facilitate growth in the bulk business.

l. Evaluates current processes, procedures, and overall efforts for improvement and innovation.

m. Manages and administers cash handling policies and procedures.

n. Ability to travel regionally and work from remote locations across the region.

o. Manage and administer commission plans for field and store personnel.
