I've never been a ford man, although I've owned alot of them. I will have to say my f550 is a 4wd with 7.3. It has around 225k miles on it. I had a ford transmission put in it in and it doesn't have 500 miles on it. But it's the best truck I've ever owned and probably the cheapest over all in maintenance. Ford made the best work trucks for many years.
Btw my gmc 1500 has 506k miles on. It uses 3-5 quarts every 3k miles.
