I was a prime for 48 year in this trade....You start at the lowest position, pay them a fair wage...then you work your way up...adding in lineM, ForeM, Splicer, Tech, Suprv, Proj Mgr rates, add in overhead and operating expense, cost of money and profits....Then you bid the job to the MSO. Today's Primes bid the job,,,,,take out all the profits and overhead.......then expect some small sub to work for peanuts because they have to feed their family. Give me a list of prime Contractors...that exclusively use their own crews, I'm talking on a national level, not some little local contractor working for his buddy.
