Had that happen to me in Ohio back in the 90's, had everything located and had the crews start trenching when we hit a major phone fiber, so while everyone was out there accessing the damage the phone guy starts remarking the locates, he was off by 5', so he thought he could get away with remarking it, that came to a quick halt, almost started a war we had to literally take the can out of his hand. Luckily their supervisor saw what was happening, so we where clear from any liability.the damages where quite high
