Don't get a false sense of security with them. If you got an 200 foot span or more they will prevent the Strand from falling back in the road if u slack the Strand back but because of the 200 feet that weight of the Strand will cause it to actually pay out from the reel which will make it spill into the span from the reel end not the Strand brake end
