In-house lineman thinkin about becoming a sub

Currently in-house for a Spectrum Cable prime. Strictly aerial construction. Im placing strand fiber and coax. Transfers. Make readies. Downed lines.Thinking of going independent. The owner (my boss) offered me 60% of what my truck would pull in as a sub. Id have one ground hand working out of a T40 type bucket truck in San Antonio/Austin, TX area. Looking for opinions about his 60% offer. Thanks
