After all this technology with 20v battery packs to run drills/saws/etc...I'm waiting on some one to come up with a 20v battery powered lasher with remote controlled. All the lineman has to do is swap it..or take strand out of clamp and keep on lashing. It can be done with just some slight modifications. I use to drill out one side of the compartment holding the coil of lashing wire and feed it into the other side, you never ran out of wire until it was all gone on both sides..a little heavy but worth the time.
Technology will never replace the belt and hooks...oh the good ole days.....MicroMan
