Exactly, I bought several ATT trucks at auction over the years. I never had any major issues. I did have normal stuff happen from buying used vehicles.
Brake line rot, bucket rollers broke, etc etc but that's why you don't just bid on the 1st truck. If it takes a month or 2, you pay for something hopefully not beat to death.
My best tip, opinion, get a diesel.
Especially if you travel. Much better power & mileage.
I hated my gasers, weak, horrible mileage, wore out sooner from dragging all that weight.
