Re: Learning Fiber Splicing

I went to a fiber school in nc. I finished the top of my class. I wanted to learn everything I could. I studied around the clock, practiced and work during lab time as much as I could. I got out and still couldn’t find a job, I offered people to give me a job with no pay I just wanted to get my foot in the door. I finally got lucky and got a job, my boss along with everybody I came across didn’t care about the schooling I had. To be honest, I learned more about splicing my first day on the job then I did in 6 months of school. The ONLY thing school did was prepare me for the terminology and not be so lost. FOA has books and online classes and certs and that is my recommendation. It’s a hard industry to get in to, and now is like everything else, becoming cut throat and prices are being drove down.
