Starting a new contractor business in Florida.

Hello all.

I am currently working in Florida as a fiber technician for a fairly big named cable company. I have been in the cable industry for 10 years so I know my way around and know how to do an install. I am a Jones NCTI Senior Master Technician also. I am looking to start my own contracting business for this same company. Obviously I would leave my current employment to avoid a conflict of interest. My question is how do I go about getting a contractors business started here in Florida. The business will start out just being myself until I can get a good foundation then I will slowly add more workers. I know I will need vehicle insurance, workman's comp insurance, business insurance. I'm assuming I'll have to get a low voltage license with the state. I have the truck, the ladder rack, the tools, the knowledge, and the work ethic just need help getting the licensing info. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
