Dude...I was serious...get on a good crew and work the ground and pay attention to what everybody on the crew does and work your way up...you'll be killin' that freakin' $2.50/trap...if you are half as serious as you're making yourself out to be, you can do REALLY well building any kind of cable...fiber coax phone
