Agreed. I might get some flack for saying this, but there is also the problem of the unnecessary middleman, which in its own way is contributing to ruining the trade by greed. I am speaking of sub-of-a-sub scenarios where techs barely know who their boss is. This can work out if implemented properly with a good c2c agreement, but more often than not I see the techs' pay suffer if you are working for anything less than the supersub. A lot of the tax law violations come from these sub-of-sub middlemen, too. So....tl;dr: make sure your contract holder works with the prime directly, and not thru another sub and then the prime.
