If you are a contractor and paying your workers on a 1099 basis...you better check the Labor laws. If you control their work area, start and quit time, they report to you, fill out your paper work,etc....they are employees...not sub 1099 laborers.
1099 does have certain rules that you must follow but mostly it's just that your working on your own, no day to day supervision/management....you are an independent.
Good luck...Keep Safe....do quality work the first time around...back tracking doesn/t help you, your employer or your pocket book profits.
