Update: This issue partially resolved itself, the emta finally took the firmware update that had been pushed through (unannounced to the field techs) and has kept its IP as well as no more service interruptions. On a side note though one of the homes on this node did have a lot of noise and that was cleaned up coincidentally on the same day. So which one really fixed it is unknown however I am kind of leaning with the noise removal allowed proper comm with the CMTS to get the firmware update.
