Just make sure they are XT and you will be fine.  Stay around the 3000 series.  Anything more will be too much and anything less with be slow and limited support for firmware updates.  The main difference is a combination of hardware and software options.  Mainly screen upgrades, wifi, optical, and MOCA tools.  Have you looked at Trilithic for a lower priced option?  860 DSPi is a great buy for the price.  They sell used for around $800-1000 with DOCSIS 3 support.
