Ubee 3611 modem and VoIP phone issues


I would like to know if anyone uses this model of Modem for Business Class level of service.  Having issues with VoIP but Internet works fine.  Would turning off SIP ALG or disabling this fix the voice fade or skipping of words?  After doing some research this modem comes with the setting enabled in factory default.  Looks like the setting is responsible for stateful packet inspection where every packet is being inspected which would cause some lag in my opinion.  Would like to know if anyone has seen this problem and what is recommended?
