33 years and although i don't hook anymore, I climbed for over 25 years and never burned a pole. But,,,, when i first started with T.C.I. in 79' i was workin a saturday helping run strand and coax to a new build outside Ambridge,Pa. I had my hooks on (never took em off) and was helping pull the lasher and we came to a wire fence, the other guy stopped but i, being 19, decided to jump the fence in stride. I wear my belt off the right side and when i jumped the fence my right hook point landed right in the center of my belt,,, I hit the ground like a 300lb sack of potato's!!!
