old video, guy filming it sounds like a dick. there are lots of reasons for doing it this is just one. Hell I was never small enough but we had a couple of guys that could climb up the lay-up sticks get out on bell to free up the lasher. 
If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking.
