it depends on where you are at....

At 750MHZ
CPE optimal +10 to. -10 down TX/ 35 to 52 RX 
Tap (depends on tap type and value- on a 26v tap you are looking anywhere from +18 to +25 down (depending on design) on the downstream and upstream 38-42db. Or on a 17v tap you would have similar downstream but a 30-35 upstream.

Almost the same at 550MHZ, little lower on the down, but attenuation is less.

upstream freq usually ride around 30mhz
