That argument again? Go read some history, its a fact that after reconstruction that the southern democrats turned republican, you should really stop regurgitating Right Wing Radio talk show host talking points, and do some independent research.
And you are incorrect, the Confederate Flag was the flag of the Confederates, which wanted to separate from the Union, that in fact, would not make them part of the US Political party. And finally, the Confederate flag these days is a symbol of racism. You can go wash that egg off your face now before it sticks.
