We have used both the vermeer sp-11 and Ditch witch 100sx. Both are good machines. Awesome for getting into fenced in yards. Most guys perfer the 100 over the 11. Due to the weight difference between the two. We started using the ditch witch Zahn R300's and we pretty much use those all the time, unless we have a fenced in yard we can't get the zahn in. With the correct blade, you can get 14" cover no problem. These machines are available in with bore attachments, single or dual wheel and even trax. We have all three of ours set up with dual wheels. We demoed the trax. They are not bad. Really good in all mud or dirt yards. They will go thru anything. But they are not as stable as the dual wheeled zahn's on hilly areas. We also use the Astec & Maxi Sneakers. They are the best for 14-30" cover. They will go thru most soil conditions! Don't waste you money on the ditch witch 255sx. They tear up yards, don't get the depth you need and roll VERY easy!
