Re: Price for blowing 288 count fiber

The last contractor I had charged .91 per foot in existing innerduct. The new one charges .72 per foot. They have had no real issues blowing in fiber. We utilize 864 count on down to 12 count fiber.

When I did line work, I never encountered major issues blowing in fiber as well. It mainly has to do with how well the duct was placed, as well as prepping for your shot. For best day was 35000 ft of 144 and 72 loose tube, and another day was able to do 15000 ft of 576 and 288 ribbon. Eight hour days with all slack pulled in and racked in manholes. Also had days we barely got a 3000 ft section to the end.

Per our contract, all fiber is to be blown in, with the exception of shorter set ups but only with supervisor approval. That means if I don't approve it, and I catch you winching in fiber, you could lose the work.
