Re: How can I get a contract with a cable/sat comp

I've never tried to get install work. What I used to do for const. was walk into the MSO's office, ask to talk to the Const. Manager, introduce myself, tell him why I was there and invite him and the Const. Sup. to lunch to discuss it. Timing is everything, don't do it on a Mon. or Fri. they are busy, make the offer for lunch every 2 or 3 months, otherwise you become a pain. Building a relationship with people is the key. For installs you would want to contact a Tech Ops Manager, Field Services Sup. or Installation Manager, there are several titles that are used. Do your homework and find out what you can before approach them, talk to one of the installers and get the names and titles you need. Good luck.
